Edimburgo

Adam was really excited to be heading to Edinburgh to visit friends and family although he was a bit sad that his dad had to stay in Spain to teach English at summer school. He only had one thing on his list of things he wanted to do which was visit East Links family park - obviously it rained during our visit - often!

The poor piper was rained off for ages...

The piper was loud - not particularly bad.

The obligatory "Princes Street with Castle" photo.

Adam reminded me there was a good park in the gardens.

East Links family park - thankfully the rain stopped.

Adam and his cousin Sarah on the new fort.

Visiting with friends - a week living like gypsies!

Happy to be back in Granny's garden.

Horrific! But funny...

Summer

We are lucky enough to be only a 90 minute drive from my parents apartment so spend many weekends there and also managed a few visits through the summer - we all love a walk to Lamata through the park.

Adam loves the beach - he wanted to dig deeper until he found water but having read the horror stories of kids being buried in these deep sand-pits there are strict Rooney rules how far down he's allowed to dig! By the end of the summer though I did hear the words "the beach is boring".

An evening at the beach - when it's not so hot!

Anniversary cava on the beach.

Adam found a new type of flower growing on the daily walk to Lamata.

The start of a hot sweaty walk to the top of Peña Rubia for the Rooney boys

They made it - and the whole of Cehegin can be seen behind...

Having a well-earned rest with a picnic at the top

Relaxing at the waterpark in Murcia - expensive but good fun.

Adam spent a week at the beach with his 5 Finn cousins and Granny & Grandad - we popped over on weekends to see all the kids before coming back to Cehegin for a few days peace and quiet during the 12 weeks school holidays.
